City of Rome “Ufficio Cinema” (Film Office)
The “Ufficio Cinema of City of Rome” is the main council office responsible for granting of filming permits for film and TV productions on the streets, public land or in council owned properties in the city of Rome.
The office liaise, on the production company behalf, with other council departments (including parking and rubbish collection), with most of the “Monuments and Fine Arts Bureaus” (Sovraintendenza alle Belle Arti) in charge of cultural sites of the Capital, with the Police and other local authorities.
By dealing with a single office only, the Ufficio Cinema, wants to make filming in the Capital as straight-forward a process as possible.
The “Ufficio Cinema” of the City of Rome works mainly as a sole administrative desk for filming permits in the city of Rome only.
